On Android, I can create a dot folder (a folder whose name starts with a . character) and that usually works to keep the photos inside it out of slideshows & other default views in the photos app. But when I want to access them, I can find the folder in the file manager (so long as you have a setting ticked somewhere to show dot folders), organized wherever it makes sense for me.

Maybe try to see if that works on iPhone?

One global "Hidden" folder doesn't really seem useful. But then, I'm someone who grew up in the age of organizing all your computer files in directories. Lots of people now are used to search-only access to a giant heap of files. 🤷🏻‍♀️
