A friend recently shared his method of studying for his last cert. it basically boiled down to this: When using practice tests, DO NOT include wrong answers.
give yourself practice exams, but don't use multiple choice like you would see IRL. make your guesses as free text, and only reveal the correct answers when grading the exam. Adding 3 wrong answers per question to your brain is not helping.
I thought it was in interesting technique for practice exams.
