i wish we’d stop calling these people “out of touch”— they’re not out of touch, neither are they tone deaf. they know exactly what they’re doing and saying. they just don’t give a shit.

if your dumbass values hot brown sugar water at 9$, that’s your fault. stop buying 9$ coffee. buy elsewhere. coffee is not an essential need. you don’t need to pump your body with literal bug poison. a consumable product is only worth as much as your headass walks into a store and decides it’s worth that much.

there is hundreds of small business coffee shops you can go to. don’t buy starbucks, simple as.

this is not a defense of the starbucks ceo, far from. but i will absolutely place the blame on the consumer for hearing this, getting mad, calling him “out of touch with the consumer” even though it’s his literal job to sell a product to you by convincing you that you want it, and then STILL buying starbucks.
