I watched Minerva Academy from Netflix Italy primarily for the pleasure of hearing the Italian. It surprised me by having echoes of Othello.
Othello was very likely *not* an intentional reference or influence for the creators, but the dynamics were still there for me in some of the key relationships.
It does a good job of what it sets out to do -- a sexed up, shiny Netflix high school show -- and has some strong performances.
