Douche looking MC and a “let’s hit things!” gameplay. I’m sad about the state of Gundam games. Wish we could get something that doesn’t feel like a reskin of a C tier game.

Maybe an RPG for once? XBCX would be a good source of inspiration I’d say.

The show didn’t resonate with me at all. I’ll just sound negative if I delve too much into it. But I’m hoping for a different direction next time.

It’s not that I want grimdark, as that works best with something like Warhammer. It’s dark humor comedy with a large dose of social commentary (the empire of mankind is modeled after the Catholic Church and deeply deeply evil). Trying to do a serious version of it just feels fascist instead.

But I like how MSG started out as wanting to make a serious show. I was genuinely surprised at how good the original show is, even with all its flaws of the time. Because it was serious.

Plus I’m not trying to live in the past, all franchises must move forward or get stale. I just don’t want a complete shift.

But TL:DR it was the game:)
