The bathrooms at the school where I teach are unisex. There are free pads and tampons available. No one has complained, thrown them away, or committed childish pranks with them. It’s just normal that they are there. I have to remind myself sometimes that other schools do not have the culture (and students) that we do, but if the expectations were established early and consistently, then all schools could have that.
