I'm finally getting around to watching the new EVIL DEAD movies. I'm still only on the first one, but I'm impressed.
It feels enough like the original franchise but is a proper modern horror movie that could stand on its own without knowing anything about the original.
The interior and exterior sets are absolutely fantastic. I might as well be the same cabin in the backwoods of Tennessee.
The cinematographer made great use of shadows. Showed just enough to torment your imagination.
