🇸🇩 NYT columnist Nicholas Kristof questions whether President Trump’s expanding financial ties to the UAE help explain his silence over the Gulf state’s support for Sudan’s genocidal Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
The comments come a day after Trump’s financial disclosure showed he earned nearly $1.2 billion from crypto ventures last year and expanded overseas business projects, including in the UAE.
They also come as Amnesty International accused the RSF of crimes against humanity and ethnic cleansing in El Fasher, while Human Rights Watch urged governments to pressure the UAE to end its support for the RSF amid warnings of an “imminent risk of mass atrocities” in El Obeid.
