Well, it's war by proxy so most Germans don't realise that there is no difference. Just because there is no trucks showing up collecting people or just because there is no bombs falling from the sky doesn't mean that the EU is not at war.

As for funding Israel, "reparations". Apparently the sending of billions of EUR every year somehow makes up for all the lives lost during WWII... eventually cause they're still paying.

Also, try to say anything against the state of Isreael - in this country - instantly wakes up the "Zentralrat der Juden" throwing a fit over Nazi Germany.

Berlin has more holocaust memorial than other memorials and we have to add new ones every few years in case people try to forget all the bad things their grand-grand-grand parents allegedly did.
