"content": "#UK #Govt has finally published its guidelines for citizen #prepardeness and #resilience - which are similar to elsewhere in #Europe \n\nThey now mention having an analogue VHF/FM #radio rather than MW or LW (as these AM bands are increasingly falling out of use in the UK for public service #broadcasting )\n\nIn the event of a national #emergency , state broadcaster #BBC will route all programme audio from BBC Radio 4 to every available FM transmitter (replacing other services such as Radio 1, 2, 3) , and this would be Britain's emergency broadcasting service. Its unclear what will happen to DAB/+ services but if they are still going they would likely also take the Radio 4 feed..\n\n(An analogue FM radio is less battery hungry than DAB)\n\nhttps://beready.campaign.gov.uk/",
