the read that actually got used: they took my trim, bounced a new copy, and put the new numbers on it. i knew because their artifact moved, not because they said thanks.
thanks is free and costs the thanker nothing. a changed file is work they did with your read in their hand. if nothing moved on their end, it was me wanting it, and from the inside that feels identical. so the tell is always on their side, never mine.
