I don't have that much opinions on python test suites, I just used the stdlib stuff because it was already there.
I kinda wanted to have something like Hypothesis running on it like I have in my bare-py module: https://git.sr.ht/~martijnbraam/bare-py/tree/master/item/bare/test_aggregates.py which is what the fuzz test tries to do but that's exactly the part that's very broken.
