The other things I'll note:

1. The Sarah McBride thing isn't about, for Republicans, where she uses the bathroom. Its about that Republicans see us as shameful untouchables unworthy of respect, and they see her as *unworthy of the chamber* - what they wanted was for her to escalate so they could treat her like a child and have her escorted from the chamber.

2. A lot of the people and accounts (mostly on facebook) cyberbullying McBride are the same @###!#$$ trans accounts who, a few months ago, were saying that voting for Biden or Kamala was a vote for genocide. I don't think they should take out their fear or guilt on her, either.

History is long. Its rough. I'm scared. We are all scared. But I'm glad to have one of us in the chamber. I'm not her responsibility. I'm mine.

I don't know if we'll make it. I think as a country we'll come out of this with something like democratic socialism. But its going to suck.

And we are going to be terrified for awhile. That's okay? Its okay.
