Just drew this on my phone to simultaneously show proximity of pitch classes in the circle of fifths and proximity in "pitch space" (i.e. in terms of number of separating semitones).
The picture shows the circle of fifths. Each pitch class has an associated color, chosen in such a way that colors of pitch classes separated by a small interval have close colors.
I hand-picked the colors in such a way that:
* The colors follow a cycle in color space
* There's enough variety that it's easy to tell colors apart
* But not too much variety so that you can still notice the closeness of notes (and not just consecutive ones)
For that, I just separated my cycle of 12 notes into 3, respectively assigned black, white, and saturated red to each boundary, and filled in the missing colors in between by hand-picking colors that looked equally spaced in perceived color space.
