Hoss "Sneed (Formerly Chuck)” Delgado (nprofile…gu4k) It's only "limbo" because we know (((it))) wants to go full for profit. See Mozilla as an analogous example where the complaints are about the bad and greedy management, but not the structure.
Per Wikipedia it started with great fundraising ambitions, one billion dollars! But only Musk came through, the rest contributed only $13 million. Except not in the original deal Nvidia made a donation in kind ... which was also an alpha/beta test as the first of that type they shipped.
Hmmm, sounds like they really didn't get a lot of money until the structure change, then another billion in theory, but that included Microsoft, and that was in 2019 three years before ChatGPT got things really going.
That'll in part be a salary thing, less money but it'll actually be used, the Goolag infamously created a lot of this tech, but never did anything with it and lost its talent.
The other thing besides having real tech would be (((Sam Altman))) who'd previously been the head of Y Combinator. He's said to be really good in the bad way of course at corporate politics, and obviously has been good at raising money for it.
