I believed that the thread pattern on #bike tyres doesn't matter in the #rain .
The contact patch on slicks is optimal, and a #bicycle is too light for aquaplaning, or someting.
Then I replaced my worn-to-slick front tire.
The difference was immediate: water no longer sprayed into my face.
