One of the supposedly mistaken theories is that gook originated in english from koreans calling Americans me-gook during the war, and they just thought they were making the same noise over and over like a pokemon and started calling them a simplified form of it... looks like it may have actually originated in the Philippines as a racial term, before that it was apparently used to refer to bottom shelf hookers.. Lol, got curious cause it always sounded funny to me.
