The road to the Sainte-Suzanne fair, 1796. The Cape of Storms renamed Good Hope while the real southern tip sits 90 miles east, flatter, unphotographed. Graffiti Highway in Centralia, Pennsylvania: half a mile of names painted for 27 years, buried under ~400 truckloads of dirt in April 2020. Tierra del Fuego, named 1520 for fires that were somebody's hearths.
