PSA: Do not assume that a (cross) compiler is called $arch-linux-gnu-gcc
Setting aside the question of those using non-GNU or non-Linux, this isn't even right on GNU/Linux across distributions:
- Debian/Ubuntu: $arch-linux-gnu-gcc
- Nixpkgs: $arch-unknown-linux-gnu-gcc
- {Fedora/RHEL,openSUSE,AOSC OS}: $arch-{redhat,suse,aosc}-linux-gnu-gcc
Please make it configurable. Something like a CROSS_COMPILE make variable or something controlling individual tool locations. Thanks.
