So this Atari 800XL emulator remake thing that the current Atari brand owners are making is _neat_ I guess but it's _entirely_ gaming focused.
It supports classic ROM cartridge games, and it supports _disk images_ and _cassette images_ via the emulation control but doesn't even *have* an SIO port to attach actual peripheral devices (much less the more rarely used PBI expansion port from the original 800XL).
It also doesn't appear to have the classic joystick/paddle ports but uses USB for its modernized controllers.
So eg I wouldn't be able to use the AtariLab sensors on it, which use the paddle inputs.
