Firefox Privacy Setup — step-by-step thread (1/10)

As you asked, here's a little tutorial on my Firefox config that makes my privacy much more peaceful. Sharing it simply, step by step. Useful thread below 👇

2/10 — Basic settings (Settings → Privacy & Security)
- Tracking Protection → Strict
- HTTPS-Only Mode → On

3/10 — More basics
- Delete cookies and site data on close (warning: this will log you out of most sites every time — a good privacy/convenience tradeoff, but it can be a hassle) → your call
- DNS over HTTPS → Max Protection

4/10
- Check "Tell sites not to sell or share my data"
- Uncheck all Mozilla telemetry → under Permissions and data collection

5/10 — Essential extensions
- uBlock Origin → blocks ads + trackers
- Privacy Badger → blocks invisible trackers

6/10
- Multi-Account Containers → isolates sites (e.g. Facebook in its own container)

7/10 — Advanced settings (about:config)
Type about:config → press Enter → Accept the Risk and Continue
- privacy.resistFingerprinting → true → anti-fingerprinting
- media.peerconnection.enabled → false → blocks WebRTC IP leaks

8/10 — Powerful option
Arkenfox user.js is a file that automatically applies 100+ privacy-optimized settings (anti-tracking, anti-fingerprinting, etc.). It's the reference config for a lot of people.

You can also just use LibreWolf on desktop (a Firefox build with Arkenfox already baked in), or Ironfox on Android (same spirit). With this setup, you'll be well protected against tracking.

And you? What extensions or settings do you use? Let me know in the comments what you think 👇 Share if this helped 🙏
