life update, kinda sad:my first cat, kush, has contracted severe gingivitis and stomatitis, and we've had to remove all his teeth. he won't ever be able to chew or bite for the rest of his life. he's only four and a half years old.

work's also been demoralizing, we've now got a whole framework to derive markdown files and pass along in a waterfall-structure to our engineers so they can hand them over to AI agents and supervise the code being generated. we have been told this is how we will work forever now, and we have to stop writing any code whatsoever. this is also part of our KPIs now.

so basically i've started smoking for the first time at the ripe age of 31.
