I had my violin teacher over today to help me with the fingerings for one of the violin parts in this vacation microtonal piece. It's such a joy to get a fingering right. The violin fretboard is a joy to play, it's so geometrically pleasing.

I also learned a new bowing technique that's fun to practice, difficult to get right, and essential to playing this part.

A very productive coaching session! Now to give my bow hand a break before starting what promises to be a long series of takes. :)
