No. There will be neoprene foam on the ends and silicone heating pads between the cells. I did design the case using fully charged cells to account for some expansion. I have two others that I have been using for almost two years with no issues. Plus, at MAX load, running one roof AC and lights, TV, satellite, etc, I will only be drawing about 50 Amps from each battery.
