After 24 years in this house, I am done with natgas. It can happen...just not very quickly and not very smoothly, I guess is the moral of this story. And I started about...I don't know...around An Inconvenient Truth?
So, as of next month I will have no electric bill (because solar) and no gas bill anymore (supposedly). Livin' the dream. With hot showers.
In the end it was worth it to me, despite all the hurdles. But there are some lessons learned for the next person who tries, I hope....
