Ahead of the law change, I removed my “you can pay this invoice by credit card subject to a surcharge” on my invoices yesterday.
Also removed the “you can pay by credit card” altogether - replaced with “if you’d like to pay by credit card, please ask”. Makes for a cleaner invoice!
I’ve found that if you give people clear payment instructions via bank transfer (which is different in every country) then people are quite happy to pay that way - and most prefer it.
