England in the early 12th century seemed to be awash with Matildas and Henries. There was Matilda, the daughter of King Henry I of England and his wife Matilda of Scotland. She married the Emperor Henry V of the Holy Roman Empire. After she was widowed, she fought against her cousin Stephen of Blois (at last, someone who was not Matilda or Henry!) for the English throne. Stephen unfortunately married another Matilda (this one being the Countess of Boulogne).
