Got a bit of reception with a stainless kitchen bowl as reflector dish. Of course the distant tower is overloaded, but there is trickle of internet instead of a blip now.
Still no power. Got an email from ESO saying it will be restored by the 29th 😬
Running the generator sometimes to keep the freezer alive and charge batteries. Some rewiring and we even have running water.
Been taking down the mousefruit tree piece by piece. The wind had twisted its branches so far the trunk just burst lengthwise.
Cleared the forest road. Early firewood! Its not bad down there, the valley was sheltered, fallen trees mostly up on the edge.
Been to town to get some meds. Looks like our area got hit hard. Many trees fallen on and by the road and in gardens. Town has power.
Photos tbd.
