Abundant Excess
All of us
hope
for a little
excess
in life to
ease
our way,
extra
that we
keep
from the
others
left to
struggle
o'er the
scraps,
the leftover
bits that escaped
from the lush hoard
amassed by the decadent
few who watch while we
do the work guarding
their unearned
abundance.
