Ok I will revisit when FCMP is out.
It's definitelty not a leak for a sender to know how much their intended recipient received in a single transaction the sender sends. The recipient can do what they want with it after the fact. It's critical for a payment protocol to know it worked when you sent money. The fact that you argue that inherent structural flaw as a privacy advantage is wild. When I put cash in your hand, I can see you received it. That is good UX that Monero replicates and isn't a privacy flaw. Forced contorted reasoning leads you to claim it's some major privacy issue, and only retards who don't think like when you make silly claims like that.
Packets being encrypted isn't what I'm talking about. You actively route plaintext amounts through your channel partner. Your channel partner knows how much you want to route through them. That is a massive leak that countless papers have been written about that leads to tons of privacy issues in lightning.
You can contort yourself into the claim that lightning is better than monero because of meaningless things like fee amounts going on chain and by ignoring all of lightning's glaring privacy issues that have been clearly demonstrated in countless papers with no meaningful solutions or improvements on the way. That's fine. It's just hilarious when people think you're actually making good points.
