It's really hard not to hate this total dickhead.
Thankfully it looks like the EU is going to reject this nonsense. Imagine how many countries could then insist on 'ASSociate membership'.
"Why don't we just make the EU another province? Why not give away Canada to the EU or make it a part of the USA? Why does Canada want to be its own nation anyhow? It's not like there's anything good about Canada or its people that needs to be preserved."
