Ok, before anyone else suffers what I just suffered: to get a ROM it accepts, you can't just use your own game or whatever. It must be a specific no-intro dump. You have to find the one with the SHA1SUM of 353489a57f24a429572e76bd455bc51d821f7036 *not* the one with the SHA1SUM of 08fa60f23e477752fdd850b1fd4171c6ca025127 and then for some reason they chose to make it not accept the header so you have to actually remove the header yourself by doing something such as using a hex editor and deleting the first 16 bytes. Maybe there's some tool to do this, but I couldn't find it. Only doing all this yields a working ROM for this stupid thing.

It really wouldn't have been that hard for them to just match any standard thing and ignore the header.
