solo trip. #ny to #fl. the gf flew down with a couple of friends. I left central NY @ 730pm Monday in my van and headed south. arrived central FL @ 830pm Tuesday. 4 hours sleep on route 64 in VA. food: pepperoni, bacon, cheese, coffee and several energy drinks. I have to admit the energy drinks helped. whenever I felt a little tired, I'd have to fuck with the cooler and pull out a drink, grabbed some protein too, and pop open a zero sugar, but sweet af, candy water. it helped.
I used waze and it did an excellent job of keeping 5 O located. I saw several folks pulled over paying the state. the "car on shoulder ahead" did come in handy in construction zones but otherwise, got tedious. there was a lot of single lane construction. on an interstate, this is unacceptable. giant medians groomed, for what? safety? bullshit miles of beautification? pul-eeze. I splat a lot of pollinators on my windshield this trip. go plant in parks, not along and interstate. keeping trees back from the road makes sense but keeping it groomed, brings out deer. waste of money to do and makes the roadside less safe.
I started counting flock cameras but lost count quickly. they're everywhere. we are constantly under surveillance. I'm pretty sure my trip down the east coast was almost completely recorded. also unacceptable. #gettheflockout
