My heart goes out to my fellow queer employees in universities across the united. As we lost title ix protections for sexual orientation and gender identity today.
A lot of places are reporting impacts on students, but title ix covered more than students.
A lot of #lgbtq employees at universities across the country are now down to a patchwork of state laws preventing discrimination in their workplaces; even if they have them at all.
I remember working in higher ed, when title IX was extended to cover folks like me.
SO damn disheartening to watch progress evaporate. #uspol #HigherEd #HigherEducation
