The thing with Catholicism is we do not subscribe to sola scriptura. That is the novelty, 1500 years after Christ.

The Trinity is not defined in the bible.
The Canon of Scripture is not defined in the bible.

If I look at the four marks of the Church in the Nicene Creed - One, Holy, Catholic (universal), Apostolic - it points me in one direction.

Protestantism has fractured constantly into more and more denominations, so no ‘one’ there.

Lets assume all are Holy enough to give everyone that mark.

I believe the Orthodox along with Catholics have valid Apostolic succession.

Universal - this is where I see even Orthodoxy as deficient, as most are national/ethnic churches.

History tends towards Catholicism and Orthodoxy.

Lastly, the Eucharist. Our belief in the Sacrifice of The Mass, and Christ’s Real Presence is what we define as worship.
We do not worship Mary, the Saints, or the Angels. We pray for their intercession.
I think much of the strife between Protestants and Catholic/Orthodox stems from the word ‘worship’ having different meaning between those two groupings.
