I have to say, the Lidl cashier was brilliant. Wouldn't let me feel embarrassed, immediately and with, it seems, considerable practice, he pressed the button on his mike, ordered up a replacement 2l milk, then a mop (looked like a full scale hazmat trolley when it arrived) and all was sorted within a couple of minutes. What's more, he wouldn't let me pay for the replacement milk. "Accidents will happen," he said.
I've always liked Lidl.
