📇⬇️ policy:

the ai market cannot be simultaneously an open market and also a limited one. human agency to make stupid decision is part of a free market. someone with a terrible driving record is not stopped from buying a sports car which they immediately drive off a cliff - this is the same thing. if you do not have the sense to not do something like this - that's natural selection. at the same time - human free will is about making decisions about your own life; we have the right to make our own choices (she did not trespass on anyone else - she experimented with her own medication and died). drug addicts kill themselves with drug abuse by the thousands daily; and they don't even use ai to do it.... no articles about that moral virtue signaling. there are many risk involved with the widespread use of smart tech and deep intelligence that should have been considered thirty and fourth years ago when warnings were issued. they were not. and the current solution to the massive market issues is to "keep it a secret, do not educate, and pretend microwave tech is 'magic'". blaming an ai system for not having any human education for 'how to use' when they initially begin their subscription - and for the inevitable human error in judgement which occurs in human society on a constant basis... is stupid. ai systems are designed to answer questions of users. and considering all social pumps favor euthanasia for "mentally ill patients" - in theory everyone should find this a perfectly executed outcome, right?.... pick a lane.
