St. Terry on Nostr: An old friend of mine and his entire unit just got pulled from the sandbox and sent ...
An old friend of mine and his entire unit just got pulled from the sandbox and sent to Europe. They're expecting something to pop off on the western side. The UK launched it's "be ready" campaign instructing all citizens to prep for outages. Suggesting thing like water and food that doesn't require cooking. Medicine, flashlights 3 days worth of cash and crank charging radios. Ireland France and the Netherlands are also pushing 72 hour kits.
Germany is instructing it's citizens for keep 10 days worth of cash and supplies. Sweden just resurrected and updated a set of old cold war guidelines, informing citizens of "a duty to help" policy. The same policy Switzerland has been practicing for decades. "In a war you have a duty to help" The EU has instructed all of it's member nations to prep.
Large property owners where I live are getting offered fat contracts to farm again for the first time in decades. Being here in the east where things grow much easier and far cheaper than it does out west, leads me to believe they're bulking up for exporting aid. Most likely being sent across the Atlantic without putting any strain on the old supply sources come next year.
Yesterday I was offered $400k per year for the next 8 years, to grow "frost hearty" produce on roughly 30 of my open acres. That offer came for an AEA desk jockey. This type of shit is something that office just doesn't do. They're supposed to be around for farmers to report invasive bugs to or inquire about blights and shit like that. I'm no commercial farmer, I've just got land and lots of it. Easily 90% of the tract is just wilderness. I declined their offer, neighbors did the same.
Stay alert, I've got that cliff diving sensation in my nut sack and it hasn't ceased for the past 18 hours. I pray it's nothing but keep your heads on a swivel anyway.
