This is one of the lamest talking points that get repeated over and over. Eating rice doesn't make me uncritical adherent of CCP, nor it makes me "owe" them anything - neither does consumption of other culture's media. Before Europeans North America was pretty much just wilderness - it all had to be built from the ground, and they did, hence they alone got a claim to it. Fun fact - you can build your own fucking country just like that too. Colonialism is dead, you got zero excuses anymore. We already worked out ready-made solutions for prosperity - systems of governance, economic models, efficient agriculture - somehow most brown people are hellbent on doing everything except that, and then whine how they are victims of the universe. The agriculture part is why I can't afford any compassion toward you. We literally permanently solved food abundance, and somehow there are still billions of people that just refuse to acknowledge it for seemingly no reason.
