When political opponents are depicted being stabbed or beheaded, and the response is to double down rather than apologise, perhaps we should stop pretending One Nation is just another harmless protest party.
Fascism doesn't arrive wearing a uniform and announcing itself. It can creep in through dehumanisation, manufactured hatred and the normalisation of political violence, disguised as a joke.
Australia should know better than to laugh this stuff off.
