This is not the question I asked, but IMHO Microsoft has not gotten better. When it comes to things like AI and privacy, they have really gotten worse. Forcing users to log into Microsoft is not how it used to be. Earlier versions of Windows did not have the concept of user profiling. AI was not a thing and was not forced on people.
Microsoft was also a bully before, but when it comes to privacy and AI, IMHO they have gotten worse.
When it comes to Open Source, I do not trust them. It reminds me too much of what they did when it came to the Web with the Embrace, Extend and Extinguish plan.
