Insofar as cool, an inline 6 RWD or RWD-based AWD is -way- more cool than any transverse nonsense.
I can't see anyone who thinks they want an X5 being convinced to settle for a RAV4, and definitely not a Crosstour.
Maybe you can convince them to look at an X3 instead of an X5? Smaller, lighter, better handling, still likely ticks all their boxes.
Maybe you can nudge them into a Macan?
