yes the problem is not just partisan polarization but that it's primarily about sexual and racial equality. specifically the people angered by these changes and those very upset that anyone could object to these changes.
but these changes and opinions about them have been steady for a while. same with our electoral structure. what's new is how corporate algo media now makes this conflict at the edges seem like an all encompassing culture war, for attention and money.
