Two weeks ago, we were approaching this amazing mountain that had been in our sights for two days. This final approach with a flat open meadow was quite the contrast from the rugged trail leading to it, the peak that rises dramatically above an alpine lake, and the challenging mountain pass that we were about to encounter.
