Heatwaves lead to... air cons!
Lately, it’s felt like we’ve been stuck in a never-ending heatwave. But as temperatures rise (again), so does the risk of air conditioning scams.
You may have seen them already: adverts on Facebook or Instagram for portable air conditioning units that are easy to set up and cool your room down in minutes. Tempting as they may be, they’re often a scam — you’ll either get a cheap, barely functional fan, or nothing at all. Beware friends.
