#WritersCoffeeClub 04 Jun: In what ways do your real-world surroundings appear in your work?
YA superheroes: Melbourne has an added, fictional suburb. The rest is real, including the skyscraper the MC fails to leap in a single bound.
Comic Fantasy: The real Australia is cunningly concealed beneath puns, olde words, unusual wildlife, and stuff I just made up.
British Empire, with magic: A look at what it might have been if none of it ever fell. With added necromancers.
