"content": "Why I Am Not A Christian by Bertrand Russell \n\n1/6 I am reading Why I Am Not A Christian (1927) by Bertrand Russell, a collection of essays by the atheist philosopher that were published in book form 99 years ago. I note that Russell admired many of the teachings attributed to Jesus Christ, but not their interpretation or application by those who identify as Christians. I think this is particularly relevant to today’s absurd version of Christianity as practiced by conservative politicians and their followers. \n\n#Philosophy #Atheism #Religion #Society #Empiricism #Knowledge #BertrandRussell #Books #Bookstodon",
