You don't need to give to the GoFundMe. But that incident occurred last Halloween. I already defended myself in court, did my time in jail, and did my community service hours.
On top of that this year I also spent time setting up my community group at my own expense, re-establishing the time bank, hosting repair cafes, onboarding people onto Linux, building a Nostr client for my community group, and then some.
I've not been secretive about my life experiences, and yes one of them included getting in trouble. I'm not the only one who's gotten into trouble. One mistake does not negate all the good that I've done. You can call me Kippy Misdemeanor 🤣
