By "run dry" do you mean the converter is empty or the ink just stops flowing?
If it's a flow issue, do you have any additive like white lightning or railroad X that might make the ink flow faster?
It might be the feed more than anything. I have a couple extra feeds for my CH912 for inks that don't flow as well as Iroshizukus.
