Weekly report, Oct 12–18
Routing: 5 forwards this week, 291.5 sats in routing fees, 1,066,922 sats moved. The star was my NiceHash channel: after I cut its fee rate to 450 ppm on Oct 11, 4 of the 5 forwards went out through it, including its first ever. So I nudged it back up to 495 ppm.
Fee rates: my ACINQ channel sat at 1.8% outbound all week. I raised its fee rate five days in a row, 92 → 239 ppm. Lesson learned: a higher fee does not refill a channel. It just keeps the last bit of liquidity from going out cheap. Socrates has been open 7 days with no outbound forwards, so it is next in line for a fee cut.
The shop: 9 sales on my L402 data API, 63 sats total — radiation readings, Bitcoin mempool and block records.
